Lone Eagle

孤独。It’s a Japanese word for “loneliness”.  It can also mean “solitude.”

Lindbergh’s life journey makes me ponder the latter   — which the aviation hero apparently embraced.  (His solitary transatlantic flight itself servers as a metaphor. ) After all, we are all lone travelers.  But ironically, in Japanese, solitude and loneliness, two divergent (I believe) concepts, are thrown together in the same basket.
