Interviews (#1)

Daniel, you and I introduced ourselves through interviews in our Japanese blog.  (BTW, there’s more about ourselves in the “ABOUT US” page.)  Why don’t we do the same here?  First, some quick excerpts from the Japanese version:

Kiyoko (hereinafter “K”): Why do you want to be a pilot, Daniel?

Daniel (hereinafter “D”): It must be fun to fly like a bird.

K: I once encouraged you to consider a legal profession.  How do you feel about it?

D: Boring.  Lawyers type and click ..that’s all they do.  It must be a lot more fun to fly like a bird.

K: Why do you admire Lindbergh?

D: Because he flew alone across the Atlantic.

K: If you could talk to Lindbergh, what would you like to ask?

D: Among the five sandwiches you took with you on your transatlantic flight, which one (turkey? roast beef?) did you eat when you were approaching Paris?  (Kiyoko’s note: We know that the aviator took only five sandwiches with him, but ate only one –perhaps somewhat triumphantly– as he began to recognize his destination.  His memoir suggests that the sandwitch had some meat, and Daniel has been dying to know what kind.  Does anyone know?)

Continues…..
